The' Now Zealand Loan and Mer* oantile Agenoy Company, Limited, report on the produce'market for the past week as follows: . . .:' Wool. - Press Association telegrams report that the lint for the third series of London sales has closed. The total arrivals lo date number 426,000 bales, of which 58,000 bales have been forwarded to manufacturers direct. In the local market at Wellington odd lots of straggler's wool are coming to hand, and are disposed of without difficulty at full rates. Sheepskins.—All lots reaching our Wellington house are competed for keenly. During the week large quantities have been put through and met with ready sale, prices being very satisfactory and ranging as follows :- Green crossbred, 3s 10d to 4s 8d; country dry skins, 4d to 6d per pound. . Tallow and Fat, ■ There is a ready sale for all on offer at the following prices '.-Inferior to good, 10s to 19s; rough fat, 12s to 13a per ewt. '■■■■ Hides,—Prices now ruling in Wellington aie better than they have been for months past, we quote : Lightweights, 2dj medium, 2sd to 3d; and heavy up to BJd per pound. ■ Oats—Heavy shipments are being made to London from southern ports and prices are reported to,be hardening. We have passed large quantities through our hands in Wellington during; the past week from Is 9d to Is lid per bushel. Wheat.—Good whole fowl wheat is selling freely at from 2s 9d to 3s, acoording lo quality.

Peas.-There is a fair demand in Wellington at present at about 8s 9d for a good sample. Chaff.—Wellington quotation, ex trucks there, is about 2SB and up lo £8 ss, sacks returnable, for a good bright sample.

Hemp.—There is little animation in the market/in fact it is impossible to effect sales unless producers are prepared to accept very low rates. London and American cable advices re-port-a drooping'market, and the immediate outlook is far from en* couraging, The last quotation to hand from onr London office for good medium quality is JEI9 per ton.

Frozen Meat,—The Home markpt is in an unsettled state. Our London manager cables:—Beef, market dull, quotations have declined Jd per pound. Mutton, market weaker, and price has declined |d. Lamb, market firmer, and price has advanced $d per pound,
