THE SHEEP STEALING CASE.
Accused Committed for Trial, , (By Telegraph.—Ouv Own Correspondent.) Carterton, Monday. The defence in the case in which Heui'v W. Kempton is charged with stealing seventeen sheep was heard yesterday before Colonel Roberts, E.M, and Messrs Booth and Bayliss, J'a P. The evidence of the accused and Alfred Hawke, Thomas Kempton, Robert Hall, Thomas Willeston, and Daniel Cameron was taken, after which the accused was committed to take his trial at the next criminal sitting of tho Supreme Court in Wellington, Bail in the same sureties as before was allowed,
