Morgan, Qlifton, < Aratapu, Auckland, 11, under date 23rd January, 1892, writes:— Dear Sir,—Some two years ago, having previuusly enjoyed good healih.l was ,_ seriously taken ill, and found it very difficult to get relief. At first I treated " myself thinking that I should soon bo * well aeaiu j but my illness grew upon 1 me and 1 was completely prostrated, and ° unable to do anything,. I sought inedica advice from cur local doctor, and he prescribed for me. ;My ailment was des- ■ cribed as black jaundice and gall stones, j, and at times I suffered much pain, Our doctor's treatment did not do me much good, as the attacks were frequent and very severe. Some months passed, .and I felt that I was becomini! hopelessly ill, My iriends were shocked ai my sallow , and changed appearance, and more tlnn '• one has told mo since that they nnvor oxpected to seo me well a«ain, I went ? to Auckland for change of ait and scone, . and to seek further medioal advice, 1 got it, and for a time seemed to improve, j the change evidently doing me good; but it wa» not tomo enough, for after ft week or so I was again laid up, All the medical aid 1 got in Auckland seemed unavailing, and I returned home with very little to hope for, Hero I suffered severe attacks, and had to lay up repeatedly. My husband had a very !, ponr opinion of patent medicines, but seeing Clement's Tonic advertised as of Buch wonderful effect in serious cases, ■ and being quite at a lobb to suggeßt any other untried remedy, he brought homo a bottle atid we determined to try it. At the same time we resolved to Bay nothing of the medicine wo were using until fully satisfied of its effects. The iirst d™ did me good and I improved rapidly, Friends who would not have been sur- ) prised to hear of my death wore really astonished at my recovery, I was soon satisfied as to the valuo of Clennnts lonic, and gladly recommended it to others, and bo did my husband, The storekeeper spoke to him ono day and asked him if he had been recommending Clements Tonic, for he had almost Bold out, and had only one bottle lefi, " Give it to me," said my hnsband, " I wouldn't bo without it for anything." By'the ; timo I had taken ono bottle I was able ' to get about my work again. Friends ■,' thought the improvement only tempor• ' ary, and expected to see mo prostrated again, but I am thanniul to say tbatsuch has not boen the case. Every dose did its work, and after a fortnight I only took one dose a d*y, in the early morning. 1 havo used only threo buttles, and have the fourth in the house. Ido not take it regularly, but fly to it on tho least symptom of anything being wrong, and I have many times proved it to be a good preventive i of returning sickness, It is now eight or nine months since I recovered, and Clement's Tonic has kept mo in good health all through, I can again get on with my house and dairy work with comfort and pleasure, I am pleased to be ablo to recommend Clement's 'Tonic, for I have found it a true friend, and am convinced that it will give health to many suffering, if they will only give it a trial.—l am, Sir, yours gratefully, M L. MORGAN. [JNFLAMMATION OF THE THROAT AND LUNGS Is always caused by neglect in not taking early steps towards prevention. Will provent these, and brings the organs of tho body to their normal regularity.—Local agent. Mr T, G. Mason, Queen street Masterton,
