Female Franchise, The Electoral'Bill. .. A Forecast for the Session. [By Telegraph.--Press Association] Donedin, Thursday, In the course of an interview the Premier said the Cabinet would con. aider whether special opportunities should be given Sir John Hall for facilitating tho passage of the Female Suffrage Bill. The Electoral Bill contained provision enabling shearers and commercial travellers to exercise their votes by means. of electoral rights. The general election day will be proclaimed a public holiday, but it is not intended to closo publichouses, SchoOlhouses are to be granted without charge for public meetings. Tho purgation of the roll will be provided for, but Ihß main principle oi the measure, one;man-one<vote, will be insisted on. The Ministry have determined.that.residential shall be the only; future qualification, The Premier says he has been informed that the Counoil regret having passed the one-man one-vote clause, and are determined there shall be no further progressive reforms in that djreotiqn, but he is equally determined, there Bhall be. : The Libel Bill will proba- ; jjly-bB.-ra ; introducet| early':'jh -the L session. -.
