Mr J. loms reports at his fortnightly stock sale on Saturday last :—The yards were well filled, considering the boistevous state of the weather, and with the exception of pens of aged ewes, all lines chenged hands, catt'e fully maintaining previous rates, beef showing a rise, Aged ewes have fallen fully Is per head. In horses a consignment of (J5 from Hawke's Bay attracted a large concpurse of' people, but the quality and condition being so wretched, prices ruled low,' (He average per head on 05 only being £l2s6d, Beef bullocks made £6 7s 6d; store■ steers, 80s; heifers to calve, £3 12s 6d to £i\ dairy stock, £i to £6; calves, 215.. Aged ewes in lamb passed at 9s; culled, ewes sold f.'om 7s to 7s 9d; shorn lambs, 6s; culled lambs, 6s, .*...■'-•.-'
