Sir Haveloci Allen,, in the House of Commons, stated' that at least 1000 Durham miners-had become disfranchised owing to the acceptance of Poor Law relief, and urged that a Rill should be introduced reinstating them. Mr Ritchie replied that be did not expect that the course of business would allow suoh a measure to be brought in. , The motion tabled by Mr Dalziel, M.P.forKirkaldy, for the oreation of a Labour Department, was ruled to be irregular, , . . : :WABHINO.ION,MayB.
