It is at present proposed afterpayment to shareholders of a dividend of 7 per cent upon amount of paid up capital to divide part of ihe balance of tho profits amongst the shareholders, according to the amount of business done by each, and a bonus to ic employees, and to cany part to a Reserve 33 Fund lor the equalisation of dividends, and w for tbo distinct object of starting or investP ing in such local industries in the district, ' as will prove conducive to the welfare of tho shareholders, employ labour, and promote tho wealth and population of the district, The Association will wherever sufficient inducement is offered by settlers and 01 here, and subject to the consent of the shareholders, endeavour to ally itself, o amalgamate, with similar institutions, and thus by sharing tho cost of management and conduot of business, reduce espouses and enlarge its sphere of usefulness, This is far irom being a speculative concern, The businesses of the vendors have been carriod on successfully for. the last twenty-live years; and the promoters have such confideuco in the future of the Association that they are prepared, so long as Mr Caselberg is allovieU a controlling vuice in the management of the concern as heretol_ fore, to guarantee a dividend of not less than (i percent for the next five years, It should bo plainly understood that the promoters do not desire now, nor in the y future, to take out their capital, but to cariy on the business on thenewlines with Mr Caselberg at the head of affairs, assisted a by all the present staff, many of whom liave been known to you for the last fifteen years, Disinterested experts will be employed to ' certily that stooks have been taken at absolute cost, and all bad or old stuck haj been reduced to the market value or takeu away (. altogether, Book debts taken over are guaranteed against loss by the vendors.
