The balance of tbo Matrewhenua grazing runs, unsold in the March sale, were offered at reduced rentals this morning, All were passed m without a bid.
Dupdih, April 29. The Hon E. Seddon reached town to-night. He proceeds to Kaitangata tomorrow, where he will address a public meeting. News has been received of tho death of Mr E. W, Humphreys, ex-M.H.K. for Ohristohurcli, from cancer.
Auckland, April 29.
On the further hearing of the Pukekohe Picturesque Atias cases to-day, the plaintiffs' solicitor said that the Bench having decided to admit outside collateral evidence it was useless to go on with the case. Tbo plaintiffs agreed that the case be struck out. Defendants were allowed £l2 lis costs.
