The Annual Report.
The following report is for presentation at the Annual Meeting of the Wairarapa and East Coast Pastoral and Agricultural Society, next Saturday 11 The retiring committee begs to present the following report of last year's operations; The Society is to be congratulated upon the marked success of the Show held in November last, Tho exhibitß were of great variety and high quality, poultry and sporting dogs being this year an additional feature, and the show of implements and vehicles specially noticeable. The numbor of entries was 901, being 109 more than last year. Fifty-one members have joined during the past year, the members roll being now 250. Notwithstanding the great addition to the working ex.. penses of a Two Days' Shop, and £OO more given in prizo money, the balance sheet shows the finances are in a flourishing condition, More interest was taken in the Horse Parade than for some years past, and though the day of the Ram Fair proved very wet, prices realised were very satisfactory. Your committee is pleased to note the Increasing interest taken in pastoral matters, and thank those gentlemen who so generously aided the Society with donations and special prizes, and also the judges for their 1 valuable services, The meeting will be called upon to elect a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Auditor and five members of the General Committee, who retire in accordance with iho rules, W. O. Williams Vice President.
