FLOWER SHOW AT GREYTOWN.
The Annual Autumn Flower Show whs held in tbe Palace Theatre at Greytown yesterday. There was rather a small attendance owing to , the inclemency of the weathor, which prevented many people from a distance being present. The show was one ot the best yet held, especially in the chrysanthemum and pot plant exhibits, In the former Con-, stable Eccleton deserves special 3 mention, he being only an amateur gardener and taking a first, second, B and two highly commended prizes, ' Messrs H. v S. Izard (Greytown), P, - Cooper (Wellington) and Wills (Wei lington) also had a good show of chrysanthemums. Mr N. King (Gieytown) took the principal prizes in pot plants. In the evening the Greytown Private Brass Band played several pretty selections, The secretary (Mr H. S. Izard), assisted by Mr! J. L. Eees, worked hard, and deserve great credit for their endeavours to make the affair successful,
