—• Esetaeuna, Saturday. 1 Constance Jlelane Spargo, arrested on & cbargo of bigamy at Nelson, passed through Eketabuna to-day in charge of Constable Cullinane. The talk of our little township has ' bpcn thg defeat o[ the ilasteriou foqt- ■ ball team by the Alhaipbras, of Punedin, The result was not unexpected here, as anyone knowing the play of both teams would certainly back the latter, So far the footballers here are rather jubilant over the result. • • Some little excitement is being caused here over m election and the School Committee election. The school committee, however, 1 fancy will be composed entirely of new blood. The pigeons, seemingly, are very wild and at the same time very poor.
