(From Ow OmOoimpondenl.)The Oddfellows' Sports, held at Eketabuna yesterday, paEßed off fairly successfully, considering that they were postponed from St Patrick's Day and that the train arrangements were very inconvenient' both'for the competitors and public. Tho-weather, which had been beautifully; fine for over a month, broke on.Friday with a steady rain, and on Saturday and Sunday it oame down in a perfect deluge, damping the spirits of the Oddfellows. Fortunately, yesterday morning broke tine, and ft most'successful day was anticipated, However, about 1 o'clock the clouds began to gather and slight showers fell, preventing many from attending the sports., Notwithatand» ing all." these disappointments, about three' hundred people visited ; the grounds, The.Committee one and all worked their hardest, and mainly owing to the efforts of the jSecretary everything passed off witliout a hitch.
