TOLL-HOUSE, Applications were received from Messrs Lamont and Thorby for permission to occupy the tollhouse on , the Mauriceville road, It was resolved that the building be let to Mr Lamont for 10s a month, GRAVEL RESERVE. Mr G. H. Smith, solicitor, of Pahiatna, wrote, enquiring what royalty was to be paid the natives for the taking of gravel from the reserve at Mangatainoka. The Clerk stated that he had replied that compensation would be allowed at the rate of 2d per cubic yard, BONUS. Mr M'Hutcheon, clerk to the Akiteo Koad Board, wrote, stating that he could not express an opinion about ' the application of Mr John Anderson for a bonus of £lO on acoount of 1 work done on tho Mataikuna road, The Clerk stated that the work had been done at the suggestion of Or 1 Murray, who had expressed the opinion that the Akiteo Road Board would ■ pay for it.
