LAND BOARD.
The Wellington Land Board mot yesterday morning. Present: Messre J, H. Baker (Chief Commissioner of Lands), M'Cardle, W, A, Fitzlierhert and J. W. Fisher, The Kcbedule of lands sold was approved and adopted. • Applications for land were approved from the following persons: Messrs R. M'Allev, A. B, Jensen, J. W. M'Layin, P, TJsdale, H. W. Gibbey, P C. Smith, W, Thomas, It. Kean, A, Ruff, J, Parsons,.
Applications from tho following were disapproved of, on the ground that the Act had not been complied with: Messrs J. andW. 6. A. Wilks, M. Beach, E, B, Hare, B, M, Hoar, :J,E.Gilly. ■ Re, the application of Mr W. B, Halliburton for a title of section 50, Block VIIT,, Makuri, on Bingle improvements, Mr M'Cardle moved, Mr Fitzln-rb-n seconded, and it was resolved—"That on applicant making a declaration that he has resided on the property since November last, and is still residing, ut title be issued."
Applications to capitalize were ap-pro-eel as untbi'i E. B. Hare, C, Max-lii'ur. (J. Ewing, F, M'Annultj junr., R. $, Davi*, J. J. Cody, and J.Fnrr-11-.
Mr J. Corkill was granted a duplicate license for his section at Mangahao, his original being lost Applications to transfer were approved from the following; E. Jones to A-W. Wilks; R. Matheson (deceased) to J. J. Byrne; J. J. Peopell to J. McNair; Roper and Parker to H. Dickin; (J.'Johnson to W.H. Nixon; P. M.Reynolds to W. Twentyman ; J. Wilkie to A. Wilkie. .
The following applications. fot transfer were disapproved t--W Walsh, D.Jones, J. T, Martin.
The ranger wrote reporting on Mrs D, Morrison's application: to transfer section at Makuri to J, B, Richardson and the Board approved the pioposed transfer,
Mr J. W, Miller applied for reconsideration of cancellation of his lease at Mangabao, on the ground that the price for bußbfallieg was beyond his txeans to pay. Consideration deferred to next meeting, as there was a similar application from'P. 6,. Moore, of

resolved to declare Mr J. Tennent's in section 32, Block i, Ongo, can« celled, and to take the usual action id the other cases,
Accrued thirds expenditure by the following bodies was approved:Fitzberbert, Pahiatuaand Alfredtou Boad Boards, Mr J, O'Connor waited on lbs Board in reference to the cancellation, of his lease of a section at Mangaone. He asked that it be rescinded, as the bushfallinc;oontraotors having abandoned their contract he was powerless, Consideration was deferred to- next meeting.
