Tho body of the young man Joseph Perkins, who was drowned in the Ruamahnnga river at Greytown last week, was found by Constable Eocleton and Mr D, Dick yesterday, about two miles from the place where be was crossing. His body was resting on a small branoh of a tree with his head and feet in the water. Large search parties wero out yesterday, chiefly consisting of Maoris.. Wh/m fouud he was very little decompfflfe, Aninqueafc will be held at theMorrw son's Bush hotel to-day. Tfae Inquest- • -•- Later. The inquest baa'been held and a verdiot was returned that the de« censed, Joseph" Perkins, was accidentally drowned while ovossing the Ruamaliunga Jliver'oii horseback on the 18th Maioh last.
