PU BLIC TRUST OFFICE, CAPITAL FUNDSOF ESTATES placed in the Public Trust Ollico guaranteed by tlie Colony. 1 By "The Public Trust Office Acts Amendment Act, 1891," the Colony now guarantees the integrity of the capital funds of properties placed in the Public Trust Office where thore is no direction for the investment of such fund?, or where there is no other direction for their investment than generally, at the option of the Public Trustee, in Geueral Government Securities of New Zealand or in mortgagoof real estate within the Colony. 2. The Colony also guarantees on such capital funds a fixed rate of interest, to bo credited quarterly, fieo of all office cliaraes, to tho properties from which the funds ariso. 3. The value of ibis guarantee will be obvious when it is considered that it (a.) The guarantee of the Colony against loss from investments in bad or insufficient securities. ~ (li.) Tho guarantee of tho Colony against loss from deliy in the investment of moneys, (c.)
