It is of even greater importance to know how, where, and when to oxportor otherwise dispose of the produce to the beat advantage, But the real difficuK tics of all Buoh institutions is tho beginning; for they must haveoapital at command, and bave such fioanoial arrangements, not only in tho Colony, but in the various markets of the world, as will inspiro the utmost confidence tocnablo it to build up a first-class credit and good name, and thus transact business on rock bottom limits, The profits of the Association after payment of expenses will belong to, and be distributed amongst tho shareholders, It is at present proposed after payment to shareholders of a dividend of 7 per cent upon amount of paid up capital to divide part of the balance of the profits amongst the shareholders, according to tho, amount of business done by each, and a bonus to employees, and to oarry part to a Reserve Fund for the equalisation of dividends, and for the distiqot object of starting or investing in suoh local industries in the district, as will prove oonduoivo to the welfare of the shareholders, employ labour, and promote the wealth and population o{ the district, _ The Assbojatign will wherever sufficient inducement is offered by settlers and others, and subjoot to tho consent ol tho shareholders, endeavour to ally itself, or amalgamate, with similar institutions, and thus by sharing the cost of management and conduct of business, reduce expenses and enlarge its sphere of usefulness, This is far from being a speculative concern, The businesses of the vendors have been carried on successfully for the last twenty-rivp years j and tho promoters have such confidence in the future of the Association that they are prepared, bo long as Mr Caaelberg is allowed a controlling voice in the management of tho concern as hereto, fore, to guarantee a dividend of not less than 6 per cent for the next five years, It should be plainly understood that the promoters do not desire now, nor in the future, to tal;e out their capital, but to oamf on the business on thonewlines with Mr Caselberg at tho heed of affairs, assisted by all the present staff, many of whom bave been known to you for the last fifteen years.
Disinterested experts will be employed to certify that stocks have-on, taken at absoluto cost, and all bad or old stock has beon reduced to the market value or taken away altogether, Book debts taken over tiro guaranteed against loss by the vendors.
