WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.

MONDAY, 7tu MABOH.

The Oonference met in Ministerial Sessions yesterday morning. The report of the Foreign Missions Board sitting in Sydney was read and adopted. The matter of arranging a visit to New Zealand from the Eev. G. Brown, Secretary of the Mission, ary Society in Sydney, was left in the hinds of tho Ohaitman, The Rev, S, J. CSibßon was elected Secretary for the year ensuing, in place, of tbo Bev. H, Bull, who received a voto of thanks for his services in the past. Mr T. Allen, of Auckland, moved a resolution affirming the desirability of mamfestiug substantial recognition of the great services rendered to the Ohuroh in Nflw Zealand by the late Rev. Alexander Reid, who had been a faithful and outspoken minister for forty years. A committee in Auckland had been of opinion that the recognition should lake the form of a house to be purchased for Mrs Reid and ber family.—Tbo resolution was seconded by Mr W. Moxham, and' then on ■ tho motion of the Rev, W, Morley, the Conferenco went into committee on the subject. .Finally the resolution of Mr Allen was carried, and a Representative Committee was appointed, consisting of the President, Revs. W. Morley, Dewsbury, Berry, and Oliver, with Messrs E, C, Brown, W. Moxham, 0. Duke, 6. H. Blachell, J, Manchester, J, S. Welsmah, J, A, Litchfield, and T. Allen.

Tl;e report of the Contingent Fund was.read by the Rev, W, Baumber, showing the total income to be £lOBl, against an expenditure of £586. The thanks of the Conference were given to the Rev, W, Baumber and Mr W. Harris, the Treasurer, and they were re-apppoiiitej, , On the motion of the Rev, E.B,est, a resolution of sympathy with the Royal Family on' the death pj the Duke of Clarence was uppimously jagreodto, .
