THE association has been formed for the purpose of acquiring the old established and successful General Business pf Messrs M, Caselberg & (?0., at Mwterton and Greytown Joseph Nathan & Co.'a Retail Business at Tinui, in the Wairarapa Distriot, and hereafter to carry on a general business upon the co-operativo principle under! which shareholders, and customers of the Assooiation, will share in the profits t methods to be determined from time to time by the Directors, and for the other purposes mentioned in the Memorandum pf jiation, a copy of which is ondoreed on tnis prospectus. An association of this nature requires, in tho ohief centres, commodious business premises replete with facilities for economically and expeditiously oarrying on the distributing trade. knowledge of local requirements are indis.. pensible for the efficient conduct of the business, and for keeping p clean stocks,. It is necessary to know in what markets at what seasons, and in what quantities to buy their requirements. It is of even greater importance to know how, where, and when It r ie i 6 to the best advantage, But the real difficulx tics of all suoh institutions is" tho beginning ; for they must have capital at command, and bave such financial arrangements, not only in the Colony, but in the various markets of the world, as will build up a first-oloss orcdit and good name, and thus transact business on rook bottom limits.
