Rod, Star Football Oluls,

The annual .meeting of the fled Star Football Club was held in tho Empire hotel last evening, about fifty persons being present.

Mr W, Iggulden, captain for' the past year, was voted to the chair. Tbo annual raport and balance sheet was read and confirmed, showing a very satisfactory state of affairs.

A large number of new members were elected, amongst whom were the following players; Mossrs Waterhouse, Jackson, H. Welch, Boulcott, Jackson, Francis, Grinders, Keene, Oowatt, Wimsett, McKillop, A, Cameron, White, Muir, Thompson, Remini, Joe Brown, Nini, Geo. Weloh, T. Kimbell, Bohultz and Webb. The officers for the ensuing season were elected as follows; Patron, Mr ;A. W. Cave, President, Mr A. Wal. ker; Vice Presidents, Messrs J. Weloh, Pownall, Thompson, and Dr Hosking; Captain, Mr B, Cinders; Vice-Captain, Mr Walter Welch; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr B, Cargill; Match Committee, Messrs Hudson, Emmett, and Weloh; Junior MatclfCounuittee, Messrs Buteinent, Hansen and Ewington. It was decided that (be season open on Saturday, the 12th March, on the Park Oval, Several minor matters were dis» cussed, and a Committee was formed to consider the advisability of procuring a suitable room for sooial purposes during the football season. Hearty votes of thanks were given to the retiring captain and Secretary, Messrs Iggulden and Wilsone, respectively, and Host Thompson for the uao of the room, and the proceedings terminated.
