(i) To raise money in any manner tho Directors may think.fit, and in particular by tho issue of debentures oc debenture stock, perpetual or otherwise, charged upon all or any of tho Association's property, present and future, including its uncalled capital. To appoint agents in any part of the world for all or any of tho purposes of tho Association, (m.) To mako accept, endorse, and exooute • promissory notes, bills of exchange, and other negotiable instruments, (s.) To enter into any arrangements for sharing profits, union of interest, co-operation joint adventure, reciprocal concession, or otherwise, with any corporation or person canying on, or cnganed in, or who may bo about to carry on or engogo in, any, business which .this Association is authoiised to carry on orcngngoin, or any business or transaction capable .of being carried on so as directly or indirectly to benefit this Association; and to lend money, to guarantee the contracts of, or I otherwise assist or become responsible for any such corporation or, person,. (o.) To manago and deal with any land or property which mayiomo into tho possession of the Association as security for any debt in such manner as to the Directors shall seem fit, with as full powers as an individual would have in like caso, (p.) To construct, carry out, maintain; im prove, manage, work, control, and superintend any stores, factories, warehouses, and other buildings, works plants, and machinery, which may seem directly or indirectly conducive to any of tho Association's objects, and to contribute to, subsidise, or otherwise assist or take part in any such operations or concerns, (Q.) To make such arrangements as the Direc' tors think fit for granting, and to grant, special concessions, reductions in prices, rebate in prices, discounts, or other advantages to shareholders, or to persons purchasing at the factories or stores of tho Association, or to both shareholders and such purchasers. (it,) To carry on any business of the Association upon co-operative principles to such extent, and with such limits, and subject to such provisions as to the Directors shall seem fit, (s.) To mako advances and loans to any person, company, or firm, and either with or without security for repayment, (t,) To do all or any of the above things as principals, agents, contractors, or trustees, or otherwise, and either alono or in conjunction with others, and by or through trustees, agents, or otherwise, (ut.)
