In case ol a protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary within 16 minutes after the race has been run, with a deposit of £2, suoh deposit to bo forfeited if tho protest be found to be Irivolous orToxa™ tious, No Scratching of Horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and thirty minutes before tho time of starting. , No Entry will be received for any Race except under the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All Nominationß, Entrances, Acceptances, etc., accompanied by the necessary amount, must be addressed to the Seoretary, Masterton. No Entry will bo received after the hour named on any pretence whatever, Any Jockey riding,' except in colours, will bo fined 2 sovs. The amount for seoond horse will be deducted from the advertised amount of Btakes, The winner Race to be sold immediately after the race for 16 sovs,, any surplus to be divided between the.Olub and the second horse. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of tho stakes.
