At the adjourned meeting of the Comm'ttee of the Amateur Athletic Association, it was decided to send MessrsJ. Hempton and H, W, Batger to compete at the forthcoming English Championship Meeting; that a long distance runner, if in sufficiently good form should also be sent; that L. A. Cuff be sent to make the necesBary business arrangements, and to acquire such knowledge as may be useful to the Association, and to impart such information as may possibly influence the English athletes, and conduce generally to the welfare of sport in the Colony. Seven delegates supported the motion, and two opposed it in the form proposed. Ono refrained from voting. The team will leave Auckland on March 19. The Committee decided to urge the Melbourne and Sydney Associations to also send teams.

B The formal preseatation of the two medals given by tho Coumess of Onslow for the study of music, under the auspices of the Auckland University College, took place to-day at Government Houbo, Lady Onslow . presenting them to Messrs J, H. Pbilpott and T. MoGmley, the successful students, Sir G, M, ORorke gave an address, and Lord Onslow announced that the Countess would coatiaue to give similar medals for the next two years.
