: ImMtrlko of Miners, London, February 18, The coal porters have resumed work on the terms existing before the strike. The Miners' Federation in Manchester, representing 175,000. men, has decided to stop work in the collieries alter fourteen days from 12th March, in order to reduce supplies,
The coalmastare maintain their right to employ freemen Bnd refuse to recede from the position taken up. The Shipping Federation is debating an offer made from a number of their business clients to be allowed to join the Federation with the view of concerted action being taken in disputes with the Unionists, London, February 14, There is further friction among he coalminers, owing to the employers refusing to reinstate Unionists,'and the resumption of the strike is threatened.
Cameron and Co.'a employes have not resumed work,
The press blame the merchants for the strike as the interests involved are small.
Volunteer coalers are employed in storing coke, A partial stoppage of coal supplies is expected to be the result of the strike, but Staffordshire owners are ■jupplying the defioienoy at present, The engineers employed in the Welsh collieries a r e striking in consequence of a reduction in wages.
