NORTH WAIRARAPA RABBIT BOARD.

Tho North Wairavapa .Rabbit Board of Trasteea met on Saturday afternoon, Present—Messrs P, Moore (Chairman), Groves, Elder, Whatman and Inspector Drummond. . The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, A lengthy gonjtuunioation was read from Messrs Levin & Co., with reforpnoe'to the procuring ot ferrets, Communications were also repeived from other sources, offering to supply ferrets to the Board. . Mr T, B, Tanner, of Kiversdale, wrote, stating that Tie" was prepared to breed ferrets for the Board.-The letter was referred to Messrs Levin & Co. . -'The Chairman said he understood fjje view of the Board to bo that a portion" pf tljejr surpJuß should be expended in procuring ferret jn flip autumn and a portion in the spring, He would like to know whether the Government was not going to supply the Wairarapaaswellas other districts with the natural enemy. The Key J.' G, Andrew informed the Board that he had twenty ferrets ready for liberation, and applied for tho subsidy, ' Messrs.E. Meredith and d. Moore also applied for subsidy. ' Accounts amounting to £lO5 0s 4d were passed (or payment. ' The Clerk reported that the whole of the rates had' been repeived, When accounts owing been paid, the Board would have a orediUalftnce of £876 14a 7d. The sum of about £BSO would be available for procuring the natural enemy.. . .
