A case was heard in the Mastorton R.M, Court yesterday afternoon, bofore Colonel Roberts, R.M., in which John Grant, a farmer of Gladstone, claimed from bis brother, Adam Chant, the Bum of £75185, for sheep and other stock supplied. Mr Beard appeared for the plaintiff and Mr Pownnll for defendant. Pho plaintiff, in his evidence, proved that certain transactions had t iken place between himself and his brother, the latter purchasing sheep, horses, oats, etc., at fixed prices. Accounts had been presented, which left a balance of £75 18a in his favour. The defendant disputed a number ot the items in the account and several of the prices. Mr Pownall also raised a nonsuit point, claiming that the plaintiff was acting merely as an agent in certain transactions, and could not thereforo sue for recovery.
