SERIOUS BUSH FIRES.
AManßurnedtoDoat^V Sydney, December ® ;i Bush fires are still raging near Narrandera, The principal one broke oat on Tuesday at Barrellen station, and extended to Oomyn Brothers' estate, whero it did much damago to tho crops, fencing, and grass. A largo aroa of Mumblebrook statiaa was r burnt, and a large number of selectors in tho neighbourhood lost all their orops, Another bush firo is reported from Tuppol, near Jeralderie. It originated somewhere near 'Murray Hut, and travelling in an easterly direction, completely swept Nocda'a Springfiold Estate, Tho wind then changed to the south-east, abet turned the fire'in tho direction of Coree station. The station hands galloped'* from the Load station about sixteen miles to tho fire. One young man, named Robinson, a brother of Dr Robinson, of Jer'alderio, was riding a spirited animal slightly in advance of the party, Ho attempted to gallop through the flames, but the horse i bucked and threw him off, HitMnrades not knowing what had haffSjed started for and got to Toongaboo Houso, Robinson was missed shortly afterwards, and his horse was seen at the fence with his singed, An alarm was raised, and a search com- • menced. fiobinson was found lying on his back with bis clothes all burnt off. Despite terrible burns he was still breathing, and was carried to Toongaboo, where be recovered consciousnoss and lingeredfor three hours in great agony. He told bow the occurrence had happened, He said that when be was thrown he was stunned, and he remembered no more till he was found in a dying condition ~ by his friends,
