(By Telegraph,—Press Association.) Temperance Conference, Dunedin, January 14. The Conference of the New Zealand Alliance and local temperance bodies was held this afternoon, Sir William Fox presiding, The following resolutions were carried*:—(l) That it is expedient that the modes of operation hitherto employed by the Alliance . Executive be continued. (2) This Conference sees no othor way of meeting strictly local demauds upon effort and liberality than the united action of all the local temperance workers, and their raising separate funds to meet local requirements. (3). It is expedient that the Alliance continue to rnise funds as hitherto only for colonial distinct from purely local work, and that in the opinion of this Coiferenco the Alliance should favourably consider any proposal for financial relations Which may be mutually advantageous y from any local temperance organisation, (4) This Conference cordially commends the colonial and legislative Work of the Alliance, the generous moraf and financial support, and considers that the most coidial relations should be maintained between all local temperance bodies, Primitive Methodist Oonferenco, CußisTcnußOH, January 14, She New Zealand Primitive Metho- ' (list Conference opened here to-day.
