THEATRE ROYAL.

Poloy'fl Dramatio Company. The re-appearance in Masterton of the inimitable J. D. Foley, with his clever Comedy and Dramatic Company, dre«v a large bouse to the Theatre Koyal on Boxing nigLt, when Byron's happy comedy " Our Boys," was produced. The piece, bo far as the plot is concerned, is extremely simple, but is highly interesting and amusing throughout, the relationship of A successful Dorsetshire kutterman to one of the upper circle being shown in a pleasing manner. Sir Jeffries, the " upper ten " representative, goes about things systematically, and commands his wayward son lo marry a lady whom he (the father) chooses , The son, however, who is a bit of t i muff, is not so soft as all that and declining to obey the pater- , nal command, is cut off withoul ' a shilling. The buiterman has als< a son who disobeys his father and casta > bis affeotioua upon a titled lady. Thi ! two boys leave home together, and b] ! a singularly strange circumstance < are afterward! found in a deplorably low condition in a London garret b; \ their respective parents. The father ', admit that both of their systems havi . been wrong, and the careers of al i concerned end peacefully. The prin cipal characters in the piece are Mr J [ D. Fol«y, the butterman, and M Saville, the gentleman, both of whiol ! are thoroughly well taken. The tw< ■ wayward sons could not have fount i better representatives than the M6ssn ' Campbell, and the lady artists dis ' played great care in the interpretatioi ' of their respective parts. The per foiraance altogether was most enjoy ; able, and the audience testified tbci ) appreciation in a most marks* ' manner. 1 The company pioiuces that delight [ ful drama " Blow for Blow "to~night [ and will play for a short season c t four nights.
