[By Telegraph.—Press Association.] His BxoalUnoy. Christohoboh, December 23. The Governor starts on his Wert Coast trip on Monday, December 28. On arrival at Kumara ho will be joined by the Hon. B. J. Seddon, and will visit with him the principal towns on the coast. He expects to be pra» sent at Kumara and Greymouth race meetings, and the Volunteer ball in the latter town. He has aocepted an invitation of the Mayor of Greymouth to a banquet. On the conclusion of his visit to Hokitika he will proceed south along the Ooast, and crossing the Haast Past after exploring the Franz Josef Glacier will meet Countess of Onslow at Lake Wanaka. His Excellency and her Ladyship will travel via Lake Wakatipu andlSanapouri to the Bluff, where they embark on the Hinemoa with Countess of Jersey, Countess of Ga£* " loway, and Captain Hon. R, Leigh, A.D.C. to the Governor of New. South " Wales. The Hinemoa will be accompanied to the West Coast Bounds by H.M.S. RingMrooma, and on hor return to the Bluff, about the 2nd of February, His Excellency and party will stay a few days atDuipdm. The party will arrive in Christcfiuroh about February 7th or Bth. The Governor *ill remain in the oity a few days, during wbiob he will have a farewell dinner with the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry, of which he ii honorary Colonel, and will leave iu the Wairarapa for Wellington on Thursday, February 11th, proceeding thenoe to join theMararoa at Auckland on February 28rd, for Sydney. The Countess of ' nslow leave* Cbristchurch on Monday, and will stay for a few days at where the Hon Gcorgo MoLean has placed his residence at her disposal. Mr Walrond, private secretary, return* to England next San Francisco mail to take up an appointment in the Education Department, London, nomination to which he haa , : just received by oable. Indignation was felt at the neglect to obtain a doctor immediately the deceased was brought into town, especially as two similar cases had occurred wuhin the last few tuonths. . I
