Selling Hack Raoi, of 20 «ots ; 1 mile; Nomination 20s ; Weight for age 8. Consolation Handicap, of 25 sovs; second horse 6 sovs Acceptance 10s ; (for all beaten handicap horses.) The winner of any handicap of the advertised value of LSO after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of five pounds ; the winner of any handicap of the advertised value of LIOO after declaration of weights to carry a penalty ot seven pounds. Penalties to be cumulative. Hack and Hurdle races excepted. RULES and REGULATIONS— All races to be run under the rules of racing. In case of a protest the tame mast be lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes after ;the race 'has been run, with a deposit of £2, auch deposit t j be forfeited if the protest be found to be frivolous or vexatious. No soratohing of horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and 30 minutes before the time of starting, No entry will be received for any race except under the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising Bhall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision npon all points shall be final. All Nominations, Entrances, Acceptances, etc., accompanied by the necessary amount, mart be addressed to the Secretary, Mas. terton. No entry will be received after the hour named on any pretence whatever. Any Jockey riding, except in colours, will be fined 2 sovs. The amount for seoond horse will be deducted from the advertised amount of stakes The winner of Selling Haofc Race to be sold immediately after the raee for 20 bovb any surplus to be divided between the Club and the second horse. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. A Hack shall mean a horse that has never, during this racing season, started for or entered for, or handicap at time of starting, and has not been nominated for Derbies, Champagnes, or Guineas, to be run for this racing season, Hack Races excepted. NOMINATIONS— Nominations for all Handicaps [to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary] olose at Masterton on Wednesday, Deoember 2, at 8 p.m., or on arrival of train from Wellington. Weights to be deolared on Wednesday, Deoember 9, at« p.m. Entries, including Maiden Hack Race, and Selling Hack Raoe, and acceptances on Saturday, 19th December, at 9 p.m, or on anival of train fom Wellington. Nominations for Consolation Handicap to be made to the Secretary 15 minutes alter the Telegraph Stakes iB run Weights will be declared 15 minutes after nominations have closed. Acceptances will oloae 15 minutes after the weights have been deolared. The enolosure opposite the Grand Stand is reserved for members and their families only npon production of ticket.
