Consolation Race, 220 yards, entrance 2s; first LI. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Entrance to Mauriceville Handicap, accompanied with fee, on or before 19th December; all other events post entry. Two competitors to start or no prize, three to start oi no secoad prize, font-or no tbird prize. The decision of or whoever they may appoint, shall in all cases be final. In the event of the weather proving unfavourable, the Committee have it in their power to postpone the sports from day to day. ADMISSION : Adults Is, children under 12 free. CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS, 1891-92. Extended Excursion iicketa will be issued between Wellington and Eketahuna (either way), first class, 20b ; second class, 15s. The above tickets 'will be obtainable trom 19th December, 1991, to 2nd January, 1892, and will be available for return up to aud including 12th January. 1892. Note.—These tickets may be made available for a further period of a fortnight by payment of the difference in value between an ordinary single ticket and half the Excursion fare. Persona desiring an extension of time must apply at the station to whioh the Excursion ticket was originally issued, before the date of expiry. Ordinary return tickets for distances of 20 miles and uuder will be issued from 19th December, 1891, to 2nd January, 1892, available for return up to and including 12th January, 1892. For distances of more than 20 miles ordinary, return tickets will be issued as usual. Note.—Whsre there are no trains running on the day Return tickets expire, tickets will be available for the next train. Excursion'tickets (available for return on day of issue only) will be obtainable on Boxing Day, 26th December, 1891, Monday, 28' h December, 1891, and New Yeare's Day, Ist January, 1892, as under:— Ist 2nd Class. On CHRTSTMaS DAY the ordinary passenger trains frem Wellington to the Wairarapa, and vice versa, will run as usual. All other ordinary trains will be suspended.
