Penalties to he cumulative. Hock and Hurdle races excepted. ■ RULES and REGULATIONS—

All races to be run under the roles of racing. Incase of 8 protest th& same must be lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes after the race has been run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest be found to be frivolous or vexatious. No scratching of horses allowed, unless through tbe Secretary, and 30 minutes before the time of starting. No entry will be received for any race except underlie conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All Nominations, Entrances, Acceptances, etc;i accompanied by the necessary amount, must be addressed to the Secretary, Mas~ terton, No entry will be received after the hour named on any pretence whatever. - Any Jockey riding, except in colours, will be fined 2 sovs. The amount for second horse will be deducted from tbe advertised amount of stakes The winner of Selling Hack Bace to be sold immediately after the race for 20 sovs any surplus to be divided between the Club and the second horse. Horses walking over will receive SO per cent, of the stakes. A Hack shall mean a horse that has never, during this racing season, started for or entered for, weight-for-age, or handicap at time of starting, and has not been nominated for Derbies, Champagnes,, or Guineas, te be run for this racing season, I Hack Races«icepted. - - NOMINATIONS— Nominations for all Handicaps [to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary] close at Masterton on Wednesday, December 2, at 8 p.m., or on arrival of train from Weilington. Weights to bedeclared on Wednesday, December 9, at 8, p.m. ' 'Entries, including Maiden Hack Race, and Selling Hack Race, and acceptances on Saturday, 19th December, at 9 p.m, or on arrival of train fom Wellington. Nomiuations for Consolation Handicap to be made to the Secretary 15 minutes after the Telegraph Stakes is run. Weights will be declared 15 minutes after nominations have closed. Acceptances will close 15 minutes _ after the weights have been declared. r The enclosure opposite tb.2 Grand SI and is reserved for members and their .families only upon production of ticket.
