By Telegraph.—Press Association Earthquake. : Wellington, Wednesday. Another sharp shook of earthquake was felt at 2.30 a.m., preceded for some seconds by a slight quivering; The Wellington Seat. Wellington, Wednesday. The writ for the Wellington seat was issued this morning, and is returnable within forty days. The date of election is not jot definitely fixed, but will probably take plaoe on Friday, . January 15th. Up to tbMjpresent time the Registrar of Electors has received about twelve hundred claims . for enrolment. The Hon. Mr left this morning for returns at the end of the week. The Mayor of Wollinjton. Wellington, Wednesday. MrH. D.Bell was installedas mayor - to-day. A high compliment i was paid at the proceedings to -th* ' outgoing mayor, Mr A. W. Brown, who was described as having the best grasp of municipal affairs of <tny man iu the city.
