Tho foundation stone of the new publio library is to be laid in Welling" ton on Tuesday next. A concert was hold m the Palace Theatre at Greytown before a very large audience last night, in aid of the Publio •School Library of that pi no 3, and was a decided success from every point of. view. The programme, whioh consisted of a number of clufe exorcises, pole drill, songs, etc., by the schoolchildren, fencing and single sticks by Mons de Afey and Mr K. Wallace, of Wellington, ana club exorcises by Mr A. G. Kemp, also of Wellington, was carried out in a highly satisfactory nunner, bb was evinced by the hearty applaijftp of the audience.
