Handicap Hack Rack, of 25 sovs, second horse 5 sovb ; 1J miles ; nomination 15b ; acceptance 10s. 6. Telegraph Stakes, of 40 sovs, second horse 10 sots, J mile. Nomination 20s. acceptance 20s. 7. Selling Hack Race, of 20 wvs ; 1 mile ; Nomination 20s ; Weight for age S. Consolation Handicap, of 25 sots ; second horse 5 sots Acceptance 10s ; (for all beaten handicap horses.) The winner of any handicap of the advertised Talue of LSO after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of five pounds ; the winner of any handicap of tho advertised Talue of LIOO after declaration of weights to carry a penalty ot seven pounds. Penalties to be cumulative. Hack and Hurdle races excepted. ' RULES and REGULATIONSAll races to bo run under the rules ol racing. In case of a protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes after the race has been run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest be found to bo frivolous or vexatious. No scratching of horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and 30 minutes before the time of starting, No entry will be received for any race except under the conditions that allclaimß, disputes, and objections arising Bhall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All Nominations, Entrances, Acceptances, etc., acoompanied by tho necessary amount, must be addressed to the Secretary, Masterton. No entry will be received after the hour named on any pretence whatevor. Any Jockey riding, except in colours, will be fined 2 sovs. The amount for Bccond horse will be doducted from the advertised amount of stakes The winner of Selling Haok Race to be sold immediately after the race for 20 sovs any surplus to be divided between the Club and the second horse. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. A Hack shall mean a horse that has never, during this racing season, started for or entered for, weiuht-for«age, or handicap at time of starting, and has not been nominated for Derbies, Champagnes, or Guineas, to be run for this racing season, Hack Races excepted.
NOMINATIONS— Nominations (or all Handicaps [to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary] olose at Masterton on Wednesday, December 2, at 8 p.m., or on arrival of train from Wellington. Weights to be deolared on Wednesday, December 9, at 8 p.m. Entries, including; Maiden Haok Race, and Selling Haok Race, and acceptances on Saturday, 19tb December, at 9 p.m, or on arrival of train fom Wellington. Nominations for Consolation Handicap to be made to the Secretary 15 minutes after the Telegraph Stakes is run Weights will be deolared 15 minutes after nominations have closed. Acceptances will olose 15 minute. l ) after the weights have been deolared. The enclosure opposite the Grand Stand is reserved for members and their families only upon production of tioket.
