The Balance Sheet of theOperatire Bootmakers Union, just published, shows the total receipts during the strike amounted to L 5595, which sum all expended, L 4423 as strike pay to booi makers, L 735 5s €d to boot machinists and fitters of the Uaion and L 242 as passages to members leaving Auckland, the rest in lesser amounts. The Dunedin Bootmakers Union contributed L 1466 18s 6d; Christcburch, L 159 0; Wellington, L 1157 l*6d; Auckland, L9Bl 8s 8d ; Adelaide, £100; Auckland Boot Machinists and fitters, £69 Ids 9d;" Affiliated Trades and Labour Councils, £llß 16s lOd; Newcastle Miners, £4O; Sydney Bootmakers, JBSO.
