Maroro, Chokebore, aud Badsworth, were all above the ayerage on the Turf, As a two year old Master Agnes won the Spring Nursery Handicap at the C.J.C. Metropolitan Meeting and ho followed this up by getting home in front of a field of five m the Two year old Handicap, but was disqualified on the ground of a cross. At tho C.J.C. Dagg, Masterton, and is out of liia prize mare Grace, by Lord Kolsor.. Grace cut of Jenny, by Young Prince Cliai ley. Jenny was bred by Mr A. Coc'tburn, Manaia, and is out of Jess by Young Lofcv, Grace was only exhibited otice when she gained first as a two year old. Jenny, Masher's grand dam was only exhibited three times, gaining three first and two special pi izes. Lord Nelson was wellknown to breeders iu the Wairarapa, and gained many honours in the show ring, not only here, but in tbo South Island. Tht> Masher gained first prize in Masterton in 1885 also Mr Lawrence's special of i'ii for the b«st foal by Lord Nelson, and in 18815 he gained first at Carterton. It is needless to say any ir.ore as the above named horses were so well and favorably known in the Wairaiapa, is in itself a sufficient guarantee to breeders. The Masher will tisvel to Greytown on Tuesdays and Masterton on Thursdays, and the rest of the week at his owner's stables, Park Road, Carterton.
