Penalties to be cumulative. Hack and Hurdle races excepted. RULES an» REGULATIONS— All raoes to be ran under the rales of racing. In case ef a protest the same mast ba lodged with the Secretary within 15 min» utes after the raee has been ran, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the pretest be found to be frivolous er vexatious. No seratchiag of horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and SO minutes be* fore the time *f starting, No entry will be received for aty rase except under the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All Nominations, Entrances, Aeeeptanoes, etc., accompanied by the necessary amount, must be addressed to the Secretary, Masterton. No entry will be received after the hear named on any pretence whatevor. Any Jockey riding, except in colour*, will be fined 2 sovs. The amount for second horse will be de* ducted ifrom the advertised amount ef stakes The winner of Selling Hack Raee to be sold immediately after tin raee for 20 sevs any surplus to be divided between the Club and the second horse. Horses walking over Trill receive 50 per eent. of the stakes. A Hack shall mean a horse that has never, during this racing season, started for or entered for, weight-for-age, or handicap at time ef starting, and has not been nominated for Derbies, Champagnes, or Guineas, te be run for this raeing season, Hack Races excepted. NOMINATIONS— Nominations for all Handicaps [to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary] close at Mastcrton en Wednesday, December 2, at 8 p.m., or on arrival ef train from Wollington. Weights t® be declared on Wednesday, December 9, at 8 p.m. Entries, including Maiden Haek lUce, amd Selling Hack Race, and aeeeptanoes on Saturday, 19th December, at 9 p.m, er on arrival of train fom Wellington. Nominations for Consolation Handicap to be made t« the Secretary 15 minutes after the Telegraph Stakes is run Weights will be deelared 15 minutes after nominations have closed. Acceptances will elose 15 minutes after the weights have been declared. The enclosure opposite the Grand Stand is reserved for members and their families only upon production of ticket.
