The Governor and Countess of and Buite, the Hons Messrs and Bolieston, and Mr Scobie Mackenzie, M.9.K., arrived at Christchurch by to-night's express. The railway station at Sefton seven miles north of Bangiora, was burnt down this morning, The origin of the fire is not known. The safe was burst open by the heat in several places, and all its contents, including £SO in cash, were destroyed. The building, which was valued at £l5O, was not insured. Mr B. J.
