Three competitors to start or no race ; four or no second : five or no third. _ 2. If necessary the race to be run in heats. 3. In the event of the scratch man not accepting, the others to be put backaccordingly. 4. The judges decision to be final. 5. Nominations accompanied by performances for the last t""o years, to be seat to the Secretary on or before Jauuary 4th for the following events—2, 4, 7,9,13 and 15. Handicaps to be declared on 10th January and published. 6. No nomination will be received unless accompanied by the proper fee ; postal notes preferred. 7. Acceptances close for the above events on the 19th January. 8. Competitors disobeyine the starter to be put each one yard for eaoh offence for the fint two offences; for the third to be disqualified. 9. The sports to be postponed in the event of the weather proving unfavorable. 10. Any competitor running under an assumed name will be disqualified. (Engine Comvetition—One Man). Particulars of which are as follows: — The work to be undertaken is the erection of a Bridge on the Tawatai Road. The amount to be borrowed is £125. The amount to be set apart in each year towards paying off the loan is £G ss. To meet the interest and annual charges on the proposed loan, a special rate of two pence and five»twelfths of a penny in the pound will be levied on the rateable value, for the time being, of the following properties:—Sections 23, 24.
