It is very gratifying to find that the Masterton School Committee is once more in touch with the Education Board, and that its representa* tions are receiving that consideration which they formerly lost owing to the bullying and bouncing tone which was once adopted by its predecessor. The assurance recently given that the spcond school >vill be erected in the course of the summer, and that action will be taken in the question of school books, will be appreciated here. But for the obstructive tactics of Mr Alexander Hogg the second school would have absolutely been built more than three years ago. Now, fortunately, that ardent educational humbug is powerless to do mischief in school inattets.
