Crs Booth and Braithwaite were appointed a Committee to confer with the Borough Coiwicil in respect to the Council occupying their offices. The Clerk was instructed to write to the Taratahi-Carterl on Road Board on the Batue subject and ask them to appoint a Committee to confer with the other local bodies on the mutter. The Chairman moved and Cr Elgar seconded, that Mr George Beetham be appointed a member of the United District Charitable Aid Board co represent this Council, and also that he be requested to attend the meeting of the Wellington Benevolent Society vri'h a view of being elected a member of I he same. In all NOMINATIONS the NAME, age at time of entry, pedigree, color, sex, and previous performances of the horse and " colours of rider must be given "(special attention is requested to this rule). 4. A Hack shall be a horse that lias never started for other than Hack or Hunter races, and is not at the time of meeting nominated for other than Hack or Hunter
