Penalties to he onmulative. Haek and Hurdle races excepted. RULES and REGULATIONS— All races to bo ran under the rales of racing. In ease of a protest the same most be lodged with the Secretary within IS minutes after the race has been ran, with a deposit of £2, inch deposit to be forfeited it the protest be found to be frivolous or vexations. No scratching of horses allowed, unless through the Secretary, and 30 minutes be* fore the time of starting, No entry will be received for a«y raee except under the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All Nominations, Entrances, Acceptances, etc., aeeompanied by the necessary amount, must be addressed to the Secretary, Mas. terton. No entry will be received after the hear named en any pretenee whatever. Any Jockey riding, except in colours, will be fined 2 sovs, The amount for second horse will be 4e° dotted Jfrom the advertised amount ef stakes The winner of Selling Haek Race to be sold immediately after the raee for 20 sevs any surplus to be divided between the Club and the second horse. Horses walking over will receive 60 p*r eent. of the stakes. A Hack shall mean a horse that has never, during this raeing season, started for or entered for, weight-for-age, or handicap at time of starting, and has not been nominated for Derbies, Champagnes, or Ouineas, t« be ran for this racing season, Haek Races excepted. DOMINATIONS— Nominations for all Handicaps [to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary] close at Masterton on Wednesday, December 2, at 8 p.m., or on arrival ef train from Wellington. Weights to be declared on Wednesday, December 9, at 8 p.m. Entries, including Maiden Hack Race, and Selling Hack Raee, and acceptances on Saturday, 10th December, at 9 p.m, or on arrival of train torn Wellington. Nominations for Consolation Handicap to be made to the Secretary 15 minutes after the Telegraph Stakes is run Weights will be declared 16 minutes after nominations have closed. Acceptances will close 15 minutes after the weights have been declared.

The enclosure opposite the Grand Stand is reserved for members and their families only upon production of ticket.
