An excellent photograph ot the Zealnndia patent wool press, which is now well-known throughout the colony and has carried off first honours wherever it has been exhibited, has been handed us by Mr .James Muir, the patentee and sole manufacturer. The artist is Mr T. £. Prioe, of Masterton, who hat succeeded in producing a very faithful picturo of the press. The Horticultural Spring Show at Greytown was held yesterday, in the Palace Hall. A large number of people attended from all parts of the Wairarapa, The school-children of 4'eatheiston, Kaiwaiwai, Carterton, and Greytown were present in tho, afternoon, being admitted free. In the evening the Greytown Brass Band played a few selections, and by that time the hall was packed. There was a fruit and refreshment booth adjoining the hall, which did a roaring trade all thrown the day.
