The winner of any handicap of the advertised value of LOO after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of five pounds ; the winner of any handicap of the advertised value of LIOO after declaration of weights to carry a penalty ot seven pounds. Penalties to be cumulative. Hack and Hurdle races excepted. RULES and REGULATIONS— All races to be tun under the roles o! racing. In case of a protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary within 16 minutes after the race has been ran, with ft deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest be found to be frivolous er vexations. No scratching ef horses allowed, nnless through the Secretary, and 80 minutes before the time of starting. No entry will be reeeived for any race except under the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All Nominations, Entrances, Acceptances, etc., accompanied by the necessary amount, must be addressed to the Secretary, Mas. terton. No entry will be received after the hour named on any pretence whatever. Any Jockey riding, except in colours, will be fined 2 sovs. The amount for second horse will be deducted jfrom the advertised amount of stakes The winner of Selling Hack Race to be sold immediately after the race for 20 sovs any surplus to be divided between the Club and the seeond horse. Horses walking over will recsive 60 per cent, of the stakes. A Hack shall mean a horse that has never, daring this racing season, started for or entered for, weight-for-age, or handicap at time of starting, and has not been nominated for Derbies, Champagnes, oi . Guineas, to be run for this racing season, Hack Races excepted.
