EKETAHUNA SCHOOL.
The monthly meeting of the Eketahuna School Committee was held on Mondayevening, the members present being Messrs F. D. Polling, J. Carter, Timmins, Maunsell, and W. A. Rowse. Owing to the illness of the chairman Mr F. D. Pelling was voted to the chair.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Mr Bennett reported 183 scholars on the books, and the average attendance 183. Whooping cough and influenza had kept away between 50 and 60 children.
The results of the first grade drawing examination eame to hand during the week, and the tbirteeon candidates who passed gained 2L certificates.
It was resolved that Mr Bennett be empowered to g«jt someone to see to the leak on the roof ot the teacher's residence. This being all the business the meeting closed.
