The Masher is a beautiful dark bay, with black points, has immense hone, and plenty uf hair, is extremely good-tempered, and has splendid style and action, bred by Mr R. Dagg, Masterton, and is out of his prize mare Grace, by Lord Nelson. Grace fut of Jenny, by Young Prince Charley. Jenny was bred by Mr A. Coc'iburn, Manaia, and is out of Jess by Young Lofty. Grace was only exhibited once when she gained first as a two yoor old, Jenney Masher's, grand dam was only exhibited three times, three first and two special prizes. Lord Nelson was wellknown to breeders in the Wairarapa, and gained many honours in the show ring, not only here, but in tho South Inland. The Masher gained first prize in Masterton in 1885 also Mr Lawrence's special of £T> for the best foal by Lord Nelson, and in 1886 he gained first at Cartertoß. It is needless to say auy more as the above named horses were so well and favorably known in the Wairarapa, is in itself a sufficient guarantee to breeders. The Masher will travel to Greytown on Tuesdays and Masterton on Thursdays, and the rest of the week at his owner's stables, Park Road, Carterton.
