The Wairarapa Daily MONDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 1891.
1 The Government is said to be about calling for tenders for adver - tising on the backs of postage stamps and telegraph forms. The advertis - ing agency business is a new industry which is worthy of the attention of Ministers. Now that th 9 members of the Cabinet are moving in all directions about the Colony, they might make more money by letting their coat tails to some enter-* prising advertising firm like Te Aro House or D.I.C. The Ministerial residences, too, would command a high figure as hoardings, and the interior of the Assembly buildings is admirably adapted for displayed advertisements of Perfection Whiskey and Wolfe's Schnapps. Ministers are evidently bent upon making revenue, and it may yet be possible to squeeze their travelling allowances out of their advertising gains.
