R.M. COURT.
jfIfc^PERTON.— MONDAY. (Before Messrs W. Lowß3 and J. Gardiner, J.P.'s) Larceny as a Bailee. Charles Broadbent was charged on the information of William Shaw with fraudulently converting two watches, of the value of £1 2s 6.1, the property of the informant, to his own use. Mr Skippur appeared for the defendant, who pleaded not guilty. There was no appearance of the ' informant, and the case was therefora dismissed, a note to this effect being entered upon the records of the Court. LAECENT. .Cyril P. Stanton was charged with the larceny of an overcoat and a pair of gloves, of the value of £4 15s, the property of Hugh Beetham, of Brancepeth. The Bench (to accused): Do you wish to be dealt with summarily? The accused: 1 don't know, I'm not used ,to this kind of tting. The Bench : Yon can either be dealt with by this Court or go to a jury for trial. The accused (after consulting Mr Skipper): I prefer to be dealt with by this Court. On the application of the police the case w&s adjourned till two o'clock permit of the presence of Mr Hugh Beetham.
